My favorite animal

My favorite animal is a wolf. Did you know that wolves use to be dogs back in the day! So now dogs are technically the modern-day wolves. Wolves also hunt in a pack of six to ten. Every pack will have a male alpha and a female alpha. Only the female alpha can give berth to pups. There are 3 types of wolves but there are also subspecies. The largest wolf in the world is Cains Lupus Occidentals, also known as the Mackenzie Valley Wolf. It typically stands about 32–34 inches at the shoulder and weighs between 110 and 175 pounds. The Honshu Wolf is known in Japan as the Japanese Wolf or by its other name the “Mountain Dog”. This wolf is one of the two extinct subspecies of the Gray Wolf once common to the islands of Japan. Wolfs hunt in a pack because they like to hunt moose or animals larger than them.
